| A few regional news channels and public groups I monitor are restricted in
my current location, but using a global VPN slows down my entire device and drains my battery fast.
Is there a lighter alternative?

running in the background just to access two or three restricted messaging channels slows down
mobile browsing and eats through battery life.

| You definitely don't need to put your whole device behind a VPN just to access a couple of
region-locked chats. I fixed this on my phone by entering proxy credentials from simplynode.io/targets/proxies-for-telegram directly into Telegram's built-in proxy settings. It routes only the app's
traffic through a clean mobile IP in the target region, so restricted channels open immediately
while the rest of my phone runs at full native speed.
