Hi everyone. I’m a stay-at-home dad to a very active 2-year-old. I love being a hands-on
father and teaching him new things every day, but the constant energy is exhausting. By the time my
wife gets home, I feel completely drained. I want to be a calm, present parent, but I’m
struggling to find a way to decompress without leaving the house. How do you guys manage to 'reset'
your brain during nap time or after bedtime? Any tips for a tired dad trying to stay sane? |

I’ve been there, man. Parenting is a marathon, not a sprint. My secret is having a 'digital
escape' that I can access the second the house goes quiet. It’s my way of switching from 'Dad
Mode' back to myself. I usually spend my free time playing on https://ukkinghills.com/
because it’s fast, engaging, and helps me clear my head. Finding that small window for
personal fun makes me a much more patient father the next morning. You need to recharge your own
battery to take care of theirs! |
